Self-Acceptance Affirmations
For Accepting Yourself as You Are
US$6 3 practices · 9 tracks · listen or download
Get the pack · US$6Most of us carry a long list of the ways we should be different. More of this, less of that. The mind is very good at keeping the list up to date.
Self-acceptance starts with making room. Room for the unhelpful thoughts and unwanted feelings that every human has from time to time. We can notice them, and still choose to be kind to ourselves.
These affirmations give you words for that, like ‘I am part of humanity’ and ‘It feels good to let go of trying to feel good.’ If your mind argues with them, that’s okay. Notice it, put a hand on your heart, and carry on.
There are three tracks, each in three lengths, from just over three minutes to just over twelve.

The Right to Be Here
3 versions
Full version · 12 minShorter version · 9 minMicro version · 6 min
For giving yourself permission to just be here. After the hand-on-heart tip, it begins: ‘I choose to give my body the right to be here now.’ The affirmations move through accepting yourself ‘with a pause and a gentle half smile’, growing and evolving, and looking at the world through the eyes of gratitude. It ends with ‘Everything is here.’ The full version goes through the affirmations twice. The shorter version repeats only the first few, and the micro version goes through once.
I Accept Myself
3 versions
Full version · 12 minShorter version · 7 minMicro version · 5 min
For when you need to go easy on yourself. After a count up from one, the affirmations begin with ‘I can be gentle with myself’ and ‘I always pull through.’ You make room for unhelpful thoughts and unwanted feelings as part of being human, and remember we’re ‘all in this together’. The full version adds lines on holding judgements lightly, such as ‘It feels good to let go of trying to feel good.’ The shorter version leaves those out, and the micro version is just the core lines.
As I Choose Me First (with bells)
3 versions
Full version · 6:47Affirmations only · 4:06Reflection only · 3:32
For choosing yourself, to the sound of bells. It begins with ‘I am here for me’ and the reminder that we choose this, then lose it, and that forgetting ourselves is part of being human. Then the affirmations, each starting ‘As I choose me first’: being okay with not being okay, letting yourself off the hook when you slip up, and accepting yourself just as you are. The middle version goes straight to the affirmations. The short one is the opening reflection on its own.
