Get the pack · US$6We spend a lot of time asking things of our bodies, and not much time thanking them. Often we only notice the body when something hurts, or when it’s tired.
These practices turn that around for a few minutes. We say hello to the body that’s been here all our lives, thank it, and listen to what it needs. When it’s tired, that might simply mean rest.
The breath does a lot of this work. A slower, steadier breath helps the body settle, so the calmer, more connected part of us can come back online.
There are three tracks: affirmations for the body, a short breath practice called This Perfect Breath, and 5–5 diaphragmatic breathing. Each comes in more than one length, from just over a minute to around nineteen.

Hello Body

For thanking your body. The full version starts with a grounding practice, moving attention from the busy mind down to the body and the pull of gravity. After a count up to ten, the affirmations begin: ‘Hello body. You’ve been here all my life. Thank you.’ You thank your eyes and your heart, choose to listen when your body feels tired, and finish with ‘Dear sweet body, thank you.’ The standard version skips the grounding and some of the affirmations. The micro version keeps the core lines.
This Perfect Breath
3 versions
Full version · 6 minShorter version · 4 minOne-minute version · 1 min
For coming back to the breath. Spoken in the first person, it begins: ‘As I give myself permission to be here now, I settle.’ Each distraction becomes a chance to return, and the breath becomes ‘this perfect anchor to the present moment’. There are lines about the body restoring itself, and an invitation to see how gentle you can be. The shorter version leaves out the middle section, and the one-minute version is just the opening lines.
5–5 Diaphragmatic Breathing

Full version · 5 minShorter version · 3 min
For when you want a simple rhythm to follow. You place one hand on your chest and one on your belly, and breathe in for five and out for five, about five to six breaths a minute. I count you through the whole way. As the counting carries on, a few short lines are woven in, like ‘My body is healing itself’ and ‘I’m doing enough, just by breathing.’ The shorter version is the same practice, with fewer of these lines.
